Chestatee Quick Care at Wal-Mart is a fast - 15 minutes! - and convenient way to get common family medical conditions diagnosed and treated with a prescription if needed.

Chestatee Quick Care offers several tests that will quickly diagnose:

  • Severe sore throat
  • Ear infection
  • Sinus infection
  • Seasonal allergies
  • Pink eye
  • Mononucleosis
  • Minor rashes
  • Ringworm
  • Bladder infection (women)
  • Bronchitis
  • Pregnancy Screening
  • Cholesterol screening
  • Swimmer's ear
  • Contact dermatitis (poison ivy)
  • Insect sting
  • Diabetes screening
  • Motion sickness

 

We also offer the following vaccinations:

  • Well tetanus
  • Flu shots (seasonal)
  • Pneumonia (seasonal)
Prices of vaccines and screenings vary. Patients must be 2 years or older to be treated; 9 years or older to receive vaccines.

We can provide the following screenings:

  • TB Testing
  • Lipid Profile (cholesterol)
  • Diabetes (Hgb A1c)

Chestatee  Quick Care is easy to access because you don't need an appointment. Our certified nurse practitioner will assess your needs, conduct a simple test and, within 15 minutes, provide you with either a prescription for your illness or information about how to manage your symptoms and/or receive additional care. A visit to Quick Care starts at $60.00 and other charges for tests may apply.  Insurances currently accepted are UnitedHealthcare, Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Blue Cross Blue Shield Open Access, Blue Cross Blue Shield Indemnity and Amerigroup.

Prescriptions can be filled at the Wal-Mart Pharmacy or the pharmacy of your choice.

Our qualifications

Chestatee Quick Care is staffed by certified nurse practitioners who are supported by on-call emergency room physicians from Chestatee Regional Hospital. Specially trained in all-age emergency medicine, each nurse is uniquely qualified to triage (assess) medical conditions, write prescriptions and refer patients for additional and/or follow-up care.
